Angling is recurrent in literature and often accompanies a character’s emotional and spiritual growth. Read Norman Maclean’s short stories or the Gospel of John—fishing tales are never about fishing but about important ideas like brotherhood and man’s curious and devastating relationship with nature. They are parables containing life’s secrets and answers.

Yes! As a lifetime angler, I can't agree more. What started as a childhood hobby is now a way of life, a teacher of life, and my therapy. Most of my best friends are anglers and surfers whom I met on the water.
