Thank you thank you for the kind words everyone. I volunteered this past weekend taking 6 teens to the beach to camp and surf. One of the campfire talks was about the pros and cons of the different shelters they all bounce around to in the city. It restored some of my empathy and it felt so good sharing my passion for camping, cooking, beachin', and surfing. I knew I was becoming jaded and too hardened by all that I see in the city. One of the teens had never been to the beach. He said, "I haven't been high on life in a minute..." That made my day. Halo, my dog, was a hit giving everyone the sloppy kisses we all deserve.
