Thank you for writing this. As the father of a transgirl, I am often filled with anxiety and fear for the world she faces. We have come a long way but still have a long way to go. Each article like this and each difficult conversation we have makes a difference.

She didn't choose this. This is how she feels. Her exact words at age six were, "I FEEL like a girl. I FEEL like a girl inside." She is almost 14 now and has never waivered.

It makes me so angry that the far right muddles sexuality with gender identity and how they stoke fear with trans people being pedophiles.
