Sorry about your Mom. Like you, I have pretty much said goodbye to my Dad as he has Dementia and Parkinson's. All these cognitive diseases are linked to so many things, and I feel like, for the most part, the medical community is off the mark, always looking for a magic CURE and silver bullet instead of prevention and lifestyle changes.

I fully believe all the meds my Dad was given throughout his life and is still taking propped up in a wheelchair were responsible for his condition. Nobody knows what a handful of pills does synergistically, and nobody knows what meds do a person after taking them for 30 years. If there's one thing it did to him, it was that it made him have to urinate constantly through the night for decades, and as study shows, poor sleep leads to these cognitive diseases. This is a subject that pisses me off when I think about all the medical advice and pills my Dad was given throughout his life.
