One thing I learned when I went through Shingles is that a lot of the healthy foods I eat are high in Arginine, including Chia Seeds. Arginine is an amino that can trigger or feed the Shingles virus. I don't worry about it too much as the shingles flare-up is over, but I am mindful of it. It sucks because the list of high arginine foods is long, and it's a lot of healthy foods!
