Nothing to be ashamed of.

But I’m ashamed to admit my second reaction wasn’t a pretty one. A hearty tinge of resentment colored me in regard to how this upturning in her life and my dad’s would affect mine.

Nothing to be ashamed of. It’s huge. At age 50, it seems like all my friends and I are going through it. It also seems as though it’s our aging parents’ job to NOT listen to us. Payback for our teenage years.
