Loved this piece and love this line from your comments

“I never did anything more beautiful than become the real me.”

As a Dad to a nine year old transgender daughter who started living her truth at age 6, I have a lot of fear for the world she faces. The fear overwhelms me at times but reading this gives me hope that LOVE WINS. When she ‘came out’ I called a gay friend to talk about it and he told me you conveyed—that we must allow everyone their own process.

If we fear the people who do not yet understand how can we engage in the hard conversations and encounters that need to happen in order for those people to grow. As your Dad shares this story, he will help others in his generation to understand.

Cheers to you and your Dad. Great pics too!
