I think we're in that extreme-opposite place to balance out the wrongs. We say something innocent trying to be helpful and its instantly mansplaining like we're trying to be an asshole and put down women. We encourage our boys to stand up to a bully, and it's toxic masculinity encouragoing violence. You can see this with parenting too. We've gone from yelling and spanking in the 80s and 90s to no fucken boundaries at all. The extremes have to play out to find a balance. It's through these discussions that we can find a healthy middle.
