Damn, Adulting!

Although I had tried to sustain the carefree spirit of my younger self, I was growing up. Adulting. I felt a deep unease with the creeping approach of 40. The endless horizons I thought I had opened for myself by sacrificing home and comfort for new experiences were starting to look distinctly cloudy.

Damn, Adulting! I'm 51 and live near a college. When I see youngins taking grad pictures in the spring, I want to scream at them, "That is the easiest your adult life will ever be!"
