After teaching elementary school in the U.S. and in New Zealand, I’ll say we Americans do a better job at squashing the inherent creative spirit in all of us. The kids in New Zealand JUST drew, and painted and created so much more freely. Art wasn’t what artists do. Art was what everyone did.
